COVID-19 Update and Concert Cancellations

The Toledo Ballet continues to closely monitor the situation concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

On April 2, 2020, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine extended the statewide stay-at-home order to May 1, 2020. In compliance with the order, and in an effort to protect our audiences, performers, staff, volunteers, and the community from the spread of the coronavirus, all remaining performances and events through June 5, 2020 are cancelled.

Our leadership team has worked tirelessly to determine the best course of action in response to the quickly evolving news. Due to rehearsal and production needs, however, we do not see how we can safely bring our performers, staff, or audiences together before the end of our 2019-2020 season.

  • The Evolution of Dance (April 18, 2020)
  • Stravinsky's Petrushka (April 24, 2020)
  • Peter & The Wolf and Carnival of the Animals (May 1 & 2, 2020)
  • Toledo Ballet Showcase (June 5, 2020)

Ticket Options

If you have tickets to one of the cancelled performances, we encourage you to consider donating their value to the organization. By doing so, you will receive a tax deduction acknowledgment and help to sustain the virtual performances, lessons, and archival broadcasting that we are now creating for our community—work that is so important at this time when we cannot be face-to-face. We can also issue you a refund.

Please email our box office at to learn more about your ticket options. Our representatives are all working from home, but they are excited to assist you.

Classes & Programs

In these extraordinary times, we’re all seeking inspiration and hope. We believe that dance and the performing arts can continue to bring people together, even if we cannot share the same physical space.

All of our dance classes are now conducted virtually. Please check your email for the latest information regarding classes We also invite you to tune into channel 30 or your local WGTE television station on May 10 at 6 PM to watch our most recent Nutcracker performance!

For now, these virtual classes and archival performance will have to sustain us until we can be together in-person again—and we look forward to the day when we can share in "live" art with you in the same space. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and check out our website for the latest news regarding classes and performances. Until we meet again, thank you for your continued support. You inspire us to continue creating new and innovative ways to connect. Take care, be safe, and see you soon.
